But, one of the challenges in the 21st century is that we, the people of the world, have never been interconnected as we are now. For example, every social media platform that you and I are using, has resulted in billionaires of proportion never seen in the history feeding on user information. Such a platform relies heavily on user activity around the globe. Similarly, 50% of the global trade is defined by ~500 MNEs unlike never in the history. These and other interconnectedness, growth of middle class around the globe along with other factors including poor dispersion of wealth, resources and power complicates the complexities of such decisions.
