The power of advertising lies in controlling what is seen. We've all made use of that power at some point in our lives. It can be a useful power. There are harmful extremes however, such as when you buy a frozen dinner based on how good it looks on the package, but once you get home and open it you are disappointed to find out that you've been conned when you see what it really looks like.
